Cassidy Wang, Editor-in-Chief
Cassidy Wang has pursued journalism since her freshman year. As A&E editor her sophomore year, she reported on theatre productions. As news editor, she co-wrote a story on a wage gap bake sale that won a MA Scholastic Gold Key. As Editor-in-Chief, she hopes to spread awareness and knowledge through telling meaningful stories to and about her school community. She has previously broadened her journalism experience at the New England Center for Investigative Reporting, a program hosted at The Boston Globe and an intensive at Medill-Northwestern University. Her most memorable journalism moment was interviewing Mike Rezendes and Matt Carroll from the 2001 Pulitzer-Prize-winning Boston Globe Spotlight team that uncovered the Catholic Church sexual abuse scandal. One day, she hopes to report on social justice, gender and race disparities, education, the environment and climate change for either the New York Times, Washington Post, ProPublica or NPR.
