Senior Edward Gostick started his middle schools rugby team as his Eagle Scout project. He thought that it would increase their chance of winning in highschool since the players would have more experience and knowledge of the game.

Before teaching at Algonquin, Emma Travassos earned an undergraduate degree in chemistry at WPI and a masters degree in education at UMass Amherst. While taking classes for her masters degree in the evening, she taught classes in Springfield during the day.
