Chicken Sandwich Chasers: BT Fried Chicken

Hello to all our fellow Chicken Sandwich Chasers!

Today, we’re venturing into the heart of Worcester, MA to spotlight a local favorite that’s been making waves among connoisseurs and casual diners alike: BT Fried Chicken (318 Park Ave, Worcester, MA). Regarded as one of the best chicken sandwich spots in Massachusetts, we were eager to see if it lived up to the hype.

Upon entering the Worcester location, we were greeted with the savory-sweet scent of charcoal, meat and spices that make your mouth water. The bar featured a model similar to Chipotle, with choices for a build-your-own tray right in front of you so you could see exactly what you were ordering. The options looked so tempting, that Adrian had to add a two-meat platter to our order. For the purposes of this review, we will focus on the classic chicken sandwich.

The Classic BT is a marvel of balance and flavor. The chicken breast is brined to perfection, ensuring juicy satisfaction with each bite. The chicken is then coated in a light, crispy batter that sings with hints of garlic and a subtle kick of paprika. Nestled between the slices of a buttery, toasted brioche bun, the chicken is topped with crisp iceberg lettuce and a creamy, tangy house sauce that complements the spices beautifully.

BT Fried Chicken offers a laid-back, friendly environment that’s all about enjoying good food in good company. The décor is charmingly rustic with a touch of modern flair, making it a great spot for both quick bites and more leisurely meals. The staff are attentive and passionate about their offerings, which adds to the overall positive experience.

Given our Chick-fil-A benchmark of 5/10, we rate The Classic BT a solid 8.2. It surpasses the standard with its flavor complexity and masterful cooking technique, setting a high bar for future contenders. Priced at $8.99, The Classic BT offers great value, considering the quality and size of the sandwich. It’s a filling meal that satisfies the wallet, making it a must-try for anyone visiting the area. If you’re in southern Massachusetts, you should check out the original location in Sturbridge, at 392 Main St.

We left BT Fried Chicken with full stomachs and happy hearts, already planning our next visit. If you’re in Worcester or nearby, don’t miss out on this gem. And for those who are just following our journey online, stay tuned for more delicious reviews as we continue chasing the best chicken sandwiches in the MetroWest area.

Chasing on,

Cam and Adrian, the “Chicken Sandwich Chasers” Team
