The Coffee Loft located in Marlborough is a hidden gem tucked away on 406 Lincoln St. The environment is a quaint, artsy cafe with couches, high top tables and booths to sit and sip. Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and other allergy-friendly options are available, ranging from sandwiches to iced tea shakers.
A special aspect that sets this cafe apart from others is the abundance of local art on display as well as trinkets for sale. The Coffee Lot has handmade cards, keychains and jewelry available for purchase from artists within the community. On top of that, there is an interactive sticky note wall. This ‘sticky wall’ has sticky notes and markers for customers to doodle on and hang up as they wait for their turn to order coffee and food.

The artsy atmosphere is further amplified, as there are Open Mic Nights every first Saturday of each month. The Coffee Loft is engaged with the boroughs as well as regulars, with personable customer service.
Parking is a bit of a challenge, but there is free parallel parking available as well as a limited parking lot. There are also other parking lots within walking distance to The Coffee Loft. The Coffee Loft is located about 11 minutes from Algonquin, being a more favorable location for people residing in Southborough.
Pricing is reasonable given the drink and food’s high quality as well as the quaint environment. For a large iced oat milk Love Bug (which is a blend of vanilla, raspberry and honey) latte, the price falls around $6. The sandwiches, which include a choice of chips or fruit, fall between $7 to $12.
As a vegetarian (Lila), it can be difficult to find new places with non-meat options that are filling. However, The Coffee Loft has impossible sausage and non-dairy milks. Alongside that, the sizing of portions are generous and all drinks note caffeine levels.

As someone who has many food allergies (Bella), they have different options that you can make substitutions with. For example, they have gluten-free bread options as well as different milk substitutions such as lactose milk if you have an allergy or intolerance.
The warm tones and ambiance of The Coffee Loft make it a good study environment with calm music and atmosphere. The diversity of not only seating, but also rooms to sit in, has different characteristics such as volume level, lighting, decoration and color schemes.
Overall, The Coffee Loft exceeds expectations and goes above and beyond with service. We would rate this cafe a solid 4.5 out of 5 stars, as we are excited to see what the future holds when renovations are complete.
The Coffee Loft is open Monday-Friday from 6am-6pm and Weekends from 8am-6pm
