Police arrested a man who approached and made sexual remarks toward two female students as they walked home through the school’s cross country trails on the afternoon of April 27.

According to the Northborough Police Department’s press release, the suspect, Yaicha Maus, 33, made no attempt at physical contact with the students. The two girls were able to leave the area and reach home, where they promptly called 911.

Responding to the call, the Northborough Police Department and Marlborough Police Department K-9 unit searched the area and successfully found the suspect at his residence. They arrested him on two counts of enticing a child under 16 for sex and two counts of annoying and accosting sexually.

According to an email from Principal Tom Mead, the students are doing well, and he praised them for their intelligent and cautious course of action.
