What has been your most memorable moment of senior year?

“I really enjoyed Winter Ball. Senior year was the first year I was able to go. I enjoyed finding a dress, dancing and hanging out with my friends.”

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

“When trying to decide what level you should take for each class, think about what you are interested in. If you really love science, then taking an AP or honors science class would be great for you. Try not to stress about taking all honors and AP classes.”

What will you miss the most about high school?

“I will miss many of my teachers and classes. I have had many amazing teachers. Many of the classes I have taken led me to the things I am passionate about.”

What was your favorite class you took in high school?

“I really loved the Environmental Science classes I took throughout high school. I feel like I learned a lot, and I always enjoy learning more about the topic.”

What’s a funny or unexpected lesson you learned in high school?

“I learned that I shouldn’t just throw my pencils into my backpack when the bell rings. They always fell to the bottom of my backpack and I would never find them. At the start of each class, I would spend several minutes searching for a pencil.”

What was the hardest class you took in high school? 

“Chemistry was definitely the hardest class for me. I always felt behind and I spent many hours studying for tests.”

What was your favorite year from k-12?

“Kindergarten was definitely my favorite year.”

What has been your most memorable moment of senior year?

“Being able to teach fifth graders in the library for my AP Gov (​​United States Government and Politics class), I had so much fun doing that and seeing kids younger than me who went to the same elementary schools as me. It was just really fun, the whole experience.”

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

“Walk on the correct side of the hallway and don’t walk in clumps. But also just work hard all four years because all four years count. Don’t think you can slack off at the end of senior year or the beginning of freshman year. I would just work hard [at school] and get a good habit going.”

What will you miss the most about high school?

“My teachers. I’ve had some really good teachers this school year and past school years. It’s going to be sad not seeing their faces when I walk through the hallways.”

What was your favorite class you took in high school?

“My favorite class was AP Psychology with Dr. Smith. She is so good at what she does, and she’s so funny it just made my junior year so memorable.”

What’s a funny or unexpected lesson you learned in high school?

“Walk on the correct side of the hallway.”

What was the hardest class you took in high school? 

“I think Spanish 4 honors because of the AAPPL [exam] and it was just really stressful trying to gear up for the AAPPL, but the teachers prepare you pretty well.”

What was your favorite year from k-12?

“Probably fifth grade, I really liked my teacher and I had so much fun.”

“Right before Christmas break, my teacher played Minecraft on the projector.”

“My advice would be: don’t eat lunch on the bathroom floor.”

“I loved the cafeteria studies where you can go to the library.”

“AP Psychology with Dr. Smith.”

“Don’t go in the E hallway bathrooms.”

Probably Chemistry.”

“You can’t teach old dogs new tricks.”

“Junior year gym.”

What’s a funny or unexpected lesson you learned in high school?

“You never know when you’re going to connect with someone.”

“Probably Chemistry.”

What was your favorite year from k-12?

“Eighth grade because I don’t remember it because of Covid. And when I came back to school, I came back full time for the last month of eighth grade, when the weather was getting warm and we would just be outside hanging out with people at school.”

“Don’t trust ChatGPT.”

“Algebra 2.”

“Fourth grade because I wasn’t in the United States yet.”

What has been your most memorable moment of senior year?

“The lifelong friends I’ve made being at this school. While I’ve lost many friends, there are some that have stuck with me through all of my years of high school, and those are friends worth keeping.”

What advice would you give to incoming freshmen?

“Stop being a Debbie Downer. People all just want to hate on schools that they go to, but you have to acknowledge that we do have a really great education. We have great teachers, we have a great community and you should take advantage of it.”

What will you miss the most about high school?

“The people and the memories attached to this place. There are countless memories that I have made with the people here. While I am still going to be in contact, it’s going to be few and far between if I ever see them again in my life. A large core amount of my life will be gone for the foreseeable future and it’s a very daunting thing to think about.”

 What was your favorite class you took in high school?

“Fairy Tales, Myths and Legends with Mr. Querino, Photography II with Ms. Sheppard, or Engineering with Metals with Mr. Clarke.”

What’s a funny or unexpected lesson you learned in high school?

“Nobody likes a know-it-all. Even if you know you’re right, don’t be mean about it.”

“Chemistry Honors with Ms. Travassos or AP World with Mr. Uttaro.”

“Sophomore year.”

“I’m going to miss my friends and the lovely community that Algonquin gives us.”

“My favorite class I took in high school was definitely Portuguese with Ms. Smith.”

“Make sure you always do your work because it will catch up with you.”

“The Hopkinton skip day, even though a lot of people didn’t go. I was still going to the beach and I had my friends with me.”

“You really have to try. I regret just cruising through high school, if I had tried way before, I probably would have been in a way better spot than I am today.”

What will you miss the most about high school?

“I’ll miss the schedule. I like knowing what I am going to do at a certain time, I like having that schedule.”

What was your favorite class you took in high school?

“Portuguese, it was really fun and relaxing. It was also a good way for me to learn more about my culture.”

What’s a funny or unexpected lesson you learned in high school?

“Don’t go into the H200 bathrooms and don’t be friends with people who sit on the bathroom floor.”

“Tenth grade. Sophomore year was really fun.”

“I’ll miss seeing everyone I know instead of just the few people I know.”

“Bones can break real easily.”
