For many, coffee is the lifeblood of productivity, a fuel that fosters creativity and concentration. Coffee and π is the perfect spot to fuel that creative spark.
Located in the center of Westborough at 276 Turnpike Rd #8, about 13 minutes away from Algonquin, Coffee & π has quickly become a cherished spot for both locals and visitors. This coffee shop offers a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal place to relax, catch up with friends or focus on work.
Founded by two Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) alumni who share a deep passion for coffee and community, Coffee & π provides a unique blend of quality beverages. Their mission is to bring diverse flavors from both local and international markets to their cozy establishment, ensuring every customer enjoys a memorable experience.
When I stepped into Coffee & π, I was expecting a math themed coffee shop. However, it was the complete opposite; there was little to no decoration that was math themed. I was also expecting different flavors of pie since it’s part of their name, but there were no pies in the bakery case or on the menu. The shop was decorated in a modern style; it reminded me of every other coffee shop. Nothing really stuck out.
Besides the disappointment of the decor, the menu has an array of freshly brewed coffees, pastries and breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Their most popular dish is the Everything Avocado Toast, featuring whipped cream cheese, arugula, balsamic drizzle, olive oil, lemon juice, sun-dried tomatoes and fresh avocado on warm toast. However, I decided to try the Turkey Club, featuring whipped cream cheese, turkey, bacon, arugula, tomatoes and chipotle mayo served on focaccia bread.
For my drink, I tried the dragon fruit and strawberry refresher since those are becoming more and more popular in coffee shops. The refresher was amazing. It had the perfect mix of green tea and fruit syrup. The sandwich was just as spectacular; there was a perfect amount of each of the ingredients, and nothing overpowered each other.
The total cost of both the sandwich and refresher came to $21.70. The drink was $5.75 and the sandwich was $13.75. The sandwich does have a higher price, but I think it is reasonably priced because it’s a large portion.

Beyond the food and beverages, there is a cozy ambiance, perfect for if you need a place to study, especially since they have calming music playing at a level that isn’t distracting. Additionally, if you’re not a fan of music being played they have seating outside. With free Wi-Fi and diverse seating choices—including high chairs, couches and standard tables—the café is well-suited for both social gatherings and productive work sessions.
Whether you’re seeking a morning caffeine fix, a tasty meal or a comfortable place to unwind, Coffee & π offers the perfect equation for a delightful experience.
Coffee & π is open Monday through Thursday from 7 AM-3 PM, Friday from 7AM-4PM and on weekends from 8AM-4PM.
