The girls’ basketball team ended their season with a 10-8 record. Senior captain Brooke Adams shared the insights on their season.
What was a highlight of the season?
“Probably playing with my teammates. We have a really good group of girls and it’s been really fun to become better friends with them and build that team chemistry.”
Who were some of your key players?
“Ashlee [Dameri], Niki [Chacharone] and Ella [Singh] have really stepped up into a big role this year and have made a big difference on the court.”
What was the most challenging part of the season?
“Probably our schedule. We play some pretty tough teams so we’ve had some pretty competitive games.”
What is your team dynamic like?
“It’s pretty good. We’re all pretty good friends with each other, so we like to have fun, but when it becomes game time, we lock in. We like to hang out off the court, like after practice, and will go out to team breakfast or something like that.”
What is coming up for the team next year?
“Next year we have a lot of interest. Our numbers are growing, which is really exciting for the program. I’m hoping that they’ll take the work we put in this season and grow off it. We’re only losing three seniors, so they still have the same core which will be really helpful for them.”
