Seeing the bigger picture: expand your Instagram horizons

Theme (n.): a unifying or dominant idea, motif, etc., as in a work of art.

Along with prom pictures, senior pranks, and the buzzing anticipation for summer, Instagram themes are right up there with the newest trends.Transforming your Instagram into an exhibition of uniform creative elements is a quickly developing movement. Like Jack Baran (@thatsojack), Jenn McAllister (@jennxpenn), and Claudia Sulewski (@claudiasulewski), you can achieve and design an aesthetic theme in minutes with the right visionary tools and an innovative mindset.

  1. The must-have app for crafting a themed profile is VSCO, available for free on the App store and Google Play Store. VSCO enables its users to adjust the exposure, crop photos, and add highlight and shadow colors, like any photo editing app. The catch, though, is that VSCO offers a broad variety of theme worthy filters. In order to cleanse your Instagram, it is essential to choose one filter and stick to it.
  2.  Like matching clothing, some colors just don’t go together. You don’t want to mismatch the color scheme of your profile. Therefore, when taking pictures, you must always keep your theme in mind. For example, if you have a blue theme, you should include a shade of blue somewhere in the photo, and then, after filtering it, the photo will be predominantly blue.
  3. It goes beyond color. Your instagram should give others a vibe as to who you are. Although a color oriented theme is of high priority, it should not overcome the expression of yourself, your interests, and underlying purposes.

Instagram themes are a rising aspect of artistry. Having a theme is not merely something on social media, it’s a way of expressing your creativity. Now, go on out into the world and capture life beautifully through the eyes of your theme – exhibiting your personality, artistic value, friends, and lifestyle.
