With warmer days coming as students and staff approach the end of the school year, we all want to indulge in a scoop, or two, of ice cream. Ben and Jerry’s is a local and popular ice cream store that has many locations all over Massachusetts and surrounding areas. Whether you’re out with friends or spending time with family at your local Ben and Jerry’s location, here’s our top five list of best Ben and Jerry’s ice cream flavors to try the next time you go.

#5: Berry Berry Extraordinary Sorbet

If you can’t eat traditional ice cream, then Berry Berry Extraordinary Sorbet is the flavor for you. It serves up a fruity, flavor-filled bite of blueberry and raspberry. The sorbet offers a refreshing and light experience that is perfect for a hot day. Berry Berry Extraordinary is definitely an underrated flavor, and if you want to try it out for yourself, you can find it at Ben and Jerry’s Scoop Shops such as the one in Marlborough.

#4: Peanut Butter Half Baked

Peanut Butter Half-Baked is called a fan favorite for a reason. It contains the delicious cookie brownie batter bites found in Half Baked, but with chocolate peanut butter ice cream instead of vanilla. And the peanut butter flavor doesn’t stop there; the cookie dough bites are peanut butter flavored as well. This ice cream is perfect for people who are nuts about peanut butter and is sure to leave you satisfied.

#3: Mint Chocolate Cookie

If you are a fan of any mint-flavored ice cream, Mint Chocolate Cookie is definitely a flavor you should try. When you dig into the mint ice cream, you also dig up chunks of Oreo-like cookies that give this ice cream a crunch. Mint Chocolate Cookie is cool and refreshing but it also adds that chocolaty flavor from the cookie.

#2: Milk and Cookies

Milk and Cookies elevates the classic dunking-a-cookie-in-milk experience. It doesn’t limit you to just one type of cookie, because as well as the expected chocolate chip cookie chunks, there are also chocolate chocolate chip cookie chunks. That combination is topped off by a sweet chocolate cookie swirl. The chocolate flavors are then broken up with a creamy vanilla ice cream that creates the perfect balance of flavors.

#1: Americone Dream

In first place, is the Americone Dream flavor. Americone Dream is vanilla ice cream with fudge covered waffle cone pieces and a caramel swirl. When you take your first scoop of the ice cream, you can see and taste the layers of decadent caramel and chocolate with the sweet and creamy vanilla ice cream. This flavor is the perfect balance of sweet and salty with plenty of different textures as well.
