The varsity girls volleyball team unites on and off the court, bringing them together to push one another to do their best in games and practices as the team approaches post-season.

“The team this year is different in that they have better chemistry,” head coach Janice Henningson said.

“All three teams are like a family and its not just separated like varsity, JV, and freshman. We all come together and support each other really well,” senior captain Nicole Federici said.

“I really like how everyone gets along and it’s a super fun team. Every practice we have  a good time, but we get a lot of work done too,”  junior Annie Campbell said.

The team has played well, but they are still working to improve as a team.

“We could use more communication on the court. That’s the biggest aspect of volleyball,”  sophomore Brooke Suitum said.

“Generally I think we have a really deep team like our bench, a lot of our bench could go in and perform well” Campbell said.

The team has faced difficult competition,

The varsity volleyball team has lost to Hopkinton, Wachusetts, and Westborough.

“The team is…working on improving and getting better everyday and that’s what I want to see,” Henningson said.

“We have our moments, and we can get frustrated, but overall we tend to work well together,” Federici said.

The team looks to achieve many different things as the season continues.

“I Look to see people staying positive and trying their hardest. If we just try and stay focused and do our best to win then thats all that really matters,” Federici said.

The team’s final regular season match and senior night is against Westborough on Thursday, October 23.
