The undefeated boys soccer team leads the league with a skilled group of seniors and an impressive underclassman group maturing into key players.

The 9-0-0 soccer team, led by senior captains Tyler Morin, Jonny Manousaridis, and Sam Factor, has been stellar this season after defeating difficult opponents.

“Shrewsbury was our toughest (team) along with Wachusett and Groton,” captain Morin said. “We were able to beat all three of them.”

Offensive stars, including seniors Morin and Dominic Cianci, have contributed into each win with multiple goals, though the team’s defense has improved most in skill and endurance against the hardest match-ups.

“Joe Wallace and Jeb Beek have really stepped up on defense as well,” Factor said.

The team has  benefited from six new sophomores in the starting line-up.

“We have a lot more younger guys coming in and working hard,” Morin said.

The team has faced a few setbacks including junior Patrick Sullivan suffering a season-ending fractured femur.

“Due to the injuries, I feel like the young guys have really stepped up and matured really well,” Manousaridis said.

According to Cianci, the underclassmen have contributed a lot for team, which will help them later in playoffs and next season.

“We have a lot of young players, so I think we will be really good for the next couple of years,” Sena-Leo said.
