Quarantine Q&A: Sophomore Caroline Freeman

Claire Bai, Assistant News Editor

This interview was done remotely due to COVID-19 precautions.

What have you enjoyed most about COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“I have enjoyed sleeping in and watching a lot of TV. I have watched a lot of shows that I haven’t been able to watch and some new ones. I mean, it’s nice to relax at home as well, then it got a little boring.”

What is the worst part of COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“I miss all of my friends and just seeing people. I mean, social distancing will make COVID-19 go away or help go away. I just hate not seeing people and my friends. It’s not fun staying at home all day doing nothing, that is also a little annoying. Having nowhere to go and not being able to go to a mall.”

How have you been keeping yourself busy?

“I have been watching TV a lot, a lot of Netflix. I have been running every morning to keep or get a routine up and going. I have been taking a lot of walks with my dog to get him some exercise and keep me sort of busy as well. Honestly, just trying to keep busy.”

What predictions, hopes or fears do you have?

“I think if we keep up doing what we are doing, this will hopefully end soon. We don’t want to hurt others who can’t really take care of themselves or have underlying conditions. I mean I have fears, but not extreme. I’m sure that everyone has fears, which is completely normal for this kind of situation.”

What TV show or movie would you recommend watching in quarantine?

“I would recommend Teen Wolf, it’s a tv show and I really liked. It’s about a teen who turns into a wolf, but it also has normal teenage situations. It’s not all fantasy stuff. I have been watching The Office and Parks and Rec, I have watched them in the past, but it’s good to rewatch them.”
