Melissa Dai, Assistant News Editor

This interview was done remotely due to COVID-19 precautions.

What have you enjoyed most about COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“The chance to catch up on some school work and take a break at the same time. I just enjoy being able to take things at my own pace.”

What is the worst part of COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“Not being able to meet with friends in person. I miss being able to interact with a variety of people on a daily basis.”

How have you been keeping yourself busy?

“I’ve been doing a variety of stuff. Doing the work assigned on Canvas, biking outside, watching Youtube, reading books, etc.”

What predictions, hopes or fears do you have?

“I’m mostly scared of what this means for my education. Will teachers be able to adequately prepare us for the following year as well as AP exams? When it comes to COVID-19, I’m not that concerned because I’m confident that if I practice social distancing I’ll be fine.”

What is your favorite snack to eat in quarantine?

“I really like Japanese candy and treats. I’ve enjoyed lots of snacks in that category over the break.”
