What was the best thing you did over break?
“I watched the new ‘Black Mirror episode’. It was a boring break but I relaxed which was nice.”
What do you do in your free time?
“I write, play basketball and listen to podcasts.”
It’s your first year as a classroom teacher, how do you feel it’s going?
“It’s going good. I had taught in a previous district so the transition wasn’t too difficult.”
Is there anything about Algonquin that you feel is different from other schools?
“From my English teacher perspective, students here don’t like reading. An eighth-grade kid loved to read. In freshman year you lose a lot and there’s no emphasis on reading.”
