The new Planet Fitness at Apex Entertainment Center offers an impressive variety of fitness classes and a judgement-free atmosphere.

Whether you are looking to get that beach body started or just a great place to take gym selfies, the new Planet Fitness in the Apex Entertainment Center is the perfect place to go. With over 30 treadmills, four squat racks, and most importantly, 32 televisions, the new Planet Fitness is certainly an upgrade from the old one, previously located just across the street.

The moment you walk in the door you are met with smiles and a staff that will help you no matter where you are in your fitness journey. Being a member of the old Planet Fitness has allowed me to realize this new facility’s ability to draw in a big crowd, seeing the drastic increase in members and daily attendance.

Planet Fitness has so much more to offer including various fitness classes focusing on different parts of the body, a spa including massage chairs and spray tanning for premium members, and two full locker rooms to check yourself out  after a good workout. With a variety of music playing in the background, it’s not tragic if you forget your earbuds and you start to get pumped for a solid workout the second you enter the gym.

The best part is that Planet Fitness stands for inclusion, emphasizing that everyone is encouraged to become a part of the Planet Fitness Family. They advertise and really emphasize their promise to creating a “Judgement Free” atmosphere to make sure that no one feels intimidated to better themselves, and the staff members follow through on that promise. This doesn’t mean that you won’t see a couple of lunk heads here and there bench pressing each other while they inhale their protein shakes, but you certainly won’t be outnumbered by them.

With a plethora of different restaurants and food options built around the Apex Center, getting a bite to eat after a good workout is even easier now with the new location, including healthy options like ProteinHouse. Plus, if you work up  a sweat and really burn those calories, you can put them right back on before you even leave the gym. Planet Fitness supplies free pizza the first Monday of every month and free bagels the second Tuesday of every month, just another reason to head to the gym.
