Senior Danielle Robbins won first place in the finals for the second time in her high school career.

Approximately 400 ARHS students participated in classroom Poetry Out Loud competitions, with 35 performers moving on to the semi-finals. Out of those 35, eight contestants advanced to the final round on January 28. After senior Emma Becker withdrew due to illness, freshmen Rachel Sachs and Bobby Raps, sophomores Baelyn Duffy and Evangelos Baltas, junior Nargis Rajai, and seniors Maya Polackal and Danielle Robbins each recited two poems in front of a crowded auditorium.

Danielle Robbins won the competition for the second time in her high school career, adding to her first place finish in 2012. Judges Jane Betar, Maura Morrison, Katie Salt, Paul DiDomenico, Thomas Mead and John Frederick each assessed the competitors throughout the contest.
