The cheer team, led by captains senior Julianna Craver and juniors Clarissa Truman and Abby Keats, competed at the league level but missed advancing to the regional competition by just a few points. Craver discussed the new team dynamic and their accomplishments outside of competitions.
What was a highlight of the season?
“Our league competition. We all stuck through and we were all really strong, despite having anxieties going into the competition, just because it was a qualifying one.”
What is your team dynamic like?
“We all listened to everything and everyone came together as one. When someone disagreed with something, we all brought it up and we all talked about it as a team, and that’s our new coach’s dynamic as well. She really likes to talk about issues when they come about.”
What is coming up for the team next year?
“Sadly, I will be leaving. But we’re looking forward to the new co-captions Clarissa Truman and Abigail Keats pushing through and just having a great successful season like this one. This one out of the many others was very productive and there wasn’t a lot of drama or problems. We just all really stuck it through and I hope they continue to do so. I hope they have a great season.”
