REVIEW: Linguine’s offers a taste of Italy close to home
April 27, 2016
Linguine’s takes family dining and Italian cuisine to a whole new level.
Located on 350 Boston Post Rd, in Marlborough, Linguine’s is the perfect dining spot for families, couples, and friends.
This restaurant left me awestruck with the amount of comfort it radiated. The atmosphere is calm and creates a warm, welcoming vibe to customers. Everyone in the restaurant was discussing their day or the food. Single people were getting up to mingle and families with little kids were enjoying their pizzas. Everything about Linguine’s is comforting and the food reminds you of a home-cooked meal.
The lighting is dim and simple but still light enough that it could be romantic. The visible kitchen allows people to chat with the chefs and see how their dishes are made. Though quite small, the room is cozy and the tables are spread out just right. The walls show off some of Boston’s favorite sports teams, various menus, and the latest specials.
Linguine’s has a large menu with a variety of yummy options. They serve a mix of homemade pastas and raviolis, brick-oven pizzas, fresh sauces, succulent sandwiches and much more to satisfy your Italian-food cravings.
Some customer favorites are the spinach ravioli ($11.95), homemade fettuccine alfredo ($11.95), and the chicken parmigiana sandwich ($6.95).
The spinach ravioli was a firmly cooked pasta stuffed with spinach and cheese. The outside was glossed in thick, creamy green spinach sauce. The flavors melted in my mouth and the perfectly stuffed ravioli was filled with a succulent, gooey spinach and cheese mixture.
Fettuccine chicken alfredo, my all-time favorite meal, is perfectly tossed into a delicious, decadent pasta dish at Linguine’s. The fettuccine was firm all the way down the strand and evenly coated with a creamy white sauce that made my taste buds soar. The chicken was tender and consistently cooked into perfect bite-sized chunks.
The sandwich that I had tasted was the chicken parm. The bread was crunchy and blanketed the chicken- keeping it warm, but not making the roll soggy. It was tender and crusted in breadcrumbs and a thick marinara and red sauce mixture.
Overall, Linguine’s is a family-friendly, and date-friendly restaurant. The prices are reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Linguine’s offers great meals that will not only leave you full, but with a memorable experience.
