The 2026 Grammys were not one to miss. From show-stopping performances to bold fashion statements, this award show continued to be one of the best nights of the year. Fans did not just tune in to see who would win, but also to see their favorite artists perform and express gratitude Here are some of the highlights from the night: 

Best Performance:

Sabrina Carpenter’s seventh studio album “Man’s Best Friend” received seven Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. Unfortunately, she did not end up taking home any awards, but her amazing performance made up for it. The stage was set up like a bustling airport, but all of the travelers were actually her backup dancers and singers. Performing her hit single “Manchild,” the performance included a conveyor-belt runway, an intercom microphone and even a real dove. On top of her amazing live vocals, her lively energy had everyone in the audience out of their seats. She also included some cities with “flight-times” in the background, which some fans are speculating is a hint to a tour announcement. 

Best dressed:

Lady Gaga has been a monumental artist for a long time now, and she received two Grammy awards this year, adding to her large collection. Though her outfit was unique and different, it perfectly fit her vibe. The Matières Fécales black dress almost represented a crow, with a high collar, feather-like fabric and a long trail, making  her stand out in the most perfect way. Many artists opted for a more minimalist approach, but Gaga contrasted this to show that the Grammys are a platform to showcase your personality and performance. The dress is exactly what I expected Lady Gaga to wear in the best way possible. 

Most deserved award:

There were so many great nominations for all of the categories, especially in the Best New Artist category, which included Addison Rae, sombr, Olivia Dean, Alex Warren, Lola Young, KATSEYE, Leon Thomas and The Marias. Olivia Dean took this award home, earning the most deserved award out of the whole night. Her 2025 album, “The Art of Loving,” gained her millions of listeners in just a few months, and the album was received well by critics. This category was stacked with amazing upcoming stars, but Dean’s win felt very satisfying, as it felt the Academy was focused on her artistry and musical depth, which she does amazing in the record. An honorable mention for most deserved award is definitely “DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOToS” by Bad Bunny, which won Album of the Year, as this album had a lot of emotional depth and cultural pride.

Best speech:

One of the most memorable parts of the Grammys is all of the artists’ heartfelt speeches. This year, many artists decided to take a political stance amid the growing political conflicts. One of these artists, Bad Bunny, used his speech to speak out against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and the current presidential administration. The Grammys is a perfect place to spread important messages, as it is an event that people all around the world are watching. Bad Bunny used his platform to increase people’s knowledge of these problems, allowing everyone to talk about it and raise more awareness. Moments like these show that the Grammys are not only for music, but to bring to light pressing issues and to spread awareness.

Overall, the 2026 Grammys were one for the books, with stunning looks, energetic performances and heartfelt performances. The night showed that music bridges people together and reflects culture and creativity.
