Need a gothic tale to get into the Halloween season? Well look no further, the long awaited season two of Tim Burton’s horror series ‘Wednesday’ brings back iconic members of the Addams Family with even more ghoulish twists and turns.
As Wednesday Addams (Jenna Ortega) and Enid Sinclair (Emma Myers) return to Nevermore Academy for their second year, they are faced once again with eerie mysteries. In and out of school, classic Addams family affairs and disputes between Morticia and Wednesday, a foreboding death, and navigating suspicion from truth in the secrets of the school–and its new principal–leaves viewers wondering if they can even trust themselves. With new faces meeting old, every episode will leave you at the edge of your seat.
The return of Nevermore also brings the return of some familiar faces, such as siren Bianca Barclay (Joy Sunday) and gorgon Ajax Petropolus (Georgie Farmer). Fans are brought multiple subplots and character development, ensuring every person plays a pawn in Wednesday’s elusive game of chess.
Needless to say, it would not be an Addams party without the beloved characters of Charles Samuel Addams, the original creator of ‘The Addams Family,’ such as Morticia Addams (Catherine Zeta-Jones) and Gomez Addams (Luis Guzmán), along with some new familial faces to help Wednesday and the Nightshades in their creepy endeavors.
Tim Burton’s genius mind brings eight more episodes of witty humor, blunt dialogue, a guest appearance of classic Tim Burton claymation, and dark metaphors. Split between two releases in August and September with a third season to come, leaving viewers contemplating on the cliffhanger.
Make sure to grab a blanket and a clear mind to delve into the world of Tim Burton’s adaptation of the classic Addams Family character, Wednesday Addams, and don’t be afraid if you hear the iconic ‘snap snap’ of Addams meddling while trying to crack the mysteries of Nevermore.
