The gymnastics team ended their season with a record of 1-7, led by captains senior Elizabeth Reynolds and junior Maddie Ho. Ho sat down with the Harbinger to answer a few questions about the past season.

How was the season overall?

“It was pretty good. We got a new coach this year and we lost a lot of seniors last year, but we picked it up and came together as a team.”

What was the team dynamic like? Did you work well together?

“Well…we ate a lot of goldfish. That was a nice pre-meet and pre-practice snack. We would just sit together and eat goldfish and debrief before practice, and we’d listen to music on the bus rides really loudly.”

What was the most challenging part of this season?

“I think adjusting to our new coach. She was really great, but obviously it’s a big change because we went from three coaches to one coach.”

What was a highlight of the season?

“Senior night was really fun.”

What’s coming up for the team and what do you think next year will look like?

“I think it’ll be good because we’ll have known our coach for longer. We really got to know her this season, so it’ll be an easier transition.”
