Q&A: Gymnasts reflect on season so far

With a record of 5-2 as of Feb. 4, the gymnastics team continues to work past challenges with dynamic team chemistry and positive attitudes. As the season comes to an end, the competitors reflect on the highlights. 

 

Senior Lizzy Debroczy 

How do you feel the team has done so far this season?

“I think the team has made a huge improvement from the first meet we competed in to now. We have definitely come together a lot more with team bonding, and I’ve seen everyone make a huge amount of progress with their skills.” 

Individually, what are your highlights of this season? Is there anything you have improved upon?

“I’ve actually been injured pretty much the entire season, so I’ve only competed in two meets, and one of them I actually hurt myself in, so it hasn’t really been my season individually. I’m here for team support which is still fun for me.”

How do you feel the team has done so far this season?

“I think we have done really well overall. We have lost a few times but our positive attitude has helped us come back and win.” 

Individually, what are your highlights of this season? Is there anything you have improved upon?

“My highlight of this season would probably be the meet against Westborough. We got our highest score so far, and everyone did really well.”

How do you feel the team has done so far this season?

“I think that the team has done really well this season. We definitely started off struggling, but everyone has been working hard, and we have had more ‘wins’ recently.” 

Individually, what are your highlights of this season? Is there anything you have improved upon?

“My highlight of this season would be getting to know everyone on the teams. Also, I have improved on my new vault. I was really excited when I finally landed my vault against Westborough.”

How do you feel the team has done so far this season?

“I think the team has done very well so far this season. We have been slowly improving this whole season, and I think we still have a lot more potential, which we can hopefully display in the coming weeks.” 

Individually, what are your highlights of this season? Is there anything you have improved upon?

“I have had my highlights of every meet. I feel like I haven’t had one meet where everything was as good as it could’ve been, but overall, my vault has improved a lot over the last four years.” 

 

Senior Max Hanna

How do you feel the team has done so far this season?

“We definitely have been struggling a little more than usual compared to past years. But, as of lately, we’ve been collecting ourselves by practicing and conditioning really hard. I’ve seen a lot of improvement recently which is really good.”

Individually, what are your highlights of this season? Is there anything you have improved upon?

“During our meet against Hudson, I scored an 8.8 on floor, which is my career high score. I also landed my vault which I was super proud of.”
