Quarantine Q&A: Sophomore Alexandra Varner

Srishti Kaushik, Staff Writer

This interview was conducted remotely due to COVID-19 precautions.

What have you enjoyed most about COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“Probably the fact that school got canceled for a few weeks and when it was reinstated everyone wasn’t just dumping piles of work on us. Also, I’m an introvert, so I like the time I get to myself.”

What is the worst part of COVID-19 precautions and social distancing?

“I miss the normal stuff we used to do, going out to eat, being able to socialize with humans that aren’t your family, a lot of activities got canceled, that kind of stuff.”

How have you been keeping yourself busy?

“Mostly I do stuff that I wouldn’t normally do, I make things, I watch shows that I’ve been meaning to, I sleep in.”

What predictions, hopes or fears do you have?

“Trying to keep politics out of it, I predict that this won’t get fixed for a couple more months. I hope that tests become available to everyone/ I hope people can start to get food. I fear anyone I know getting sick/my family getting sick.”

What show/movie have you got the chance to watch during quarantine?

“Godfather.”
