Senior Thursday: John Fontecchio

Connor Mason, Staff Writer

Have you played any sports at Algonquin? If so what has it taught you and If not, why?

“I played baseball and football and it taught me how to be a part of a team and you have to work for playing time. If you wanted to play you had to work for it, it wasn’t just handed to you.”

How has senior year gone for you? Anything happens that beats the rest?

“I’ve just gotten to be able to see how these four years have changed me as an athlete, student and a person going forward in life.”

What’s your go to snack after a long day of school?

“Peanut butter pretzels and Cheez-its. I love them!”

What are you looking forward to most after graduation? Any future plans?

“I am playing baseball at FSU and continuing my academic career.”

If you could pick one thing what’s the most important thing you’ve learned here at Algonquin over the last four years?

“I’ve learned how to be coachable and that’s a great skill to have especially if you play a sport because there is always going to be criticism.”
