These signs hang in all classrooms over the single stream bins.

A new recycling system has been introduced as part of an effort to make Algonquin more green.

It now uses “single stream bins” that recycle everything you would at home.  The blue recycling bins are returning from last year with the same function: to recycle white paper.  The change is with the gray and black bins, which used to be used for everything else.  As part of the new program, the gray and black bins will be used as single stream bins in the classroom, while the trash bins will only be found in the hallways.

ALLOWED IN THE SINGLE STREAM BINS:

Newspaper and mail

Colored paper and construction paper
