Look no further than Worcester in order to find the best burger within miles of Algonquin. The Fix Burger Bar, located on Grove Street next to WPI in Worcester, is one of Central Massachusetts’ culinary treasures. The self-proclaimed first true burger bar of Worcester keeps true to its popular slogan, “designed to make you feel good”.

Housed in a classic style brick building and with a modern industrial feel, The Fix brings great food with great vibes. The restaurant has a distinct American feel, while also keeping up with modern styles in its design. Offering a variety of menu options, along with their traditional burger choices, The Fix has something for every customer to enjoy, from salads and sandwiches, to milkshakes and house made sodas, their menu will satisfy even the biggest appetites. The restaurant’s namesake food item is surely its best: their house-made delicious burgers.

The burgers are made from a large variety of meat options, from classic grass fed beef to lamb grind. Even salmon, tuna, and haddock burgers are offered, along with turkey and chicken burgers. The veggie burger will offer vegetarian guests a tasty alternative as well. The kobe beef burger and the bison burger are my personal favorites, and both are the best such burgers you’ll find on this side of Boston. To accompany your choice of meat, The Fix offers a variety of signature topping options as well as the opportunity to completely customize your burger.

The choice of specialized beef options will have the most influence on how much your meal will cost, but if you stick with the “The Classic” burger, the entire meal will cost less than ten dollars. The meal will come with the best local burger available, a choice of your own side dish, such as french fries or sweet potato fries, and a soda or water. The restaurant’s signature milkshakes or salad bar can also be added for only 5 dollars. Unlimited salad bar is also an option for only 10 dollars.

To accompany the incredible menu, the restaurant staff is very friendly and the service is extremely quick. Despite what may appear as a small space from the outside, the restaurant is spacious and seats a large number of guests. Certain areas of the restaurant have televisions for entertainment or for sports viewing, and a private room is available for large groups.

Overall, several visits to The Fix have never left me disappointed.  The restaurant is affordable and delicious, and is a great option for the family, a date, or even just a few friends looking for some lunch. If you’re looking for a good burger meal, there’s no better option than The Fix Burger Bar.
