What has been your biggest triumph so far this school year?

“Getting into the flow of the class this year; it seems to be easier than last year.”

What has been your biggest frustration about this school year so far?

“My biggest frustration this year has been my commute to work; usually it’s 50 minutes, but now it takes an hour.”

What is something you’re looking forward to this school year?

“I’m looking forward to basketball season.”

“Smooth.”

What has been your biggest triumph so far this school year?

“Becoming a junior captain for the football team.”

“I’d say the level of classes I’ve been taking. It’s a lot of work to keep up with everything and football.”

“I’m looking forward to prom in the spring. Once in a lifetime kind of thing.”

“Probably my Chemistry class because one of the hardest classes I’m taking is Honors Chem.”

“How they [teachers] get so angry when you’re late to school in the morning; it’s so annoying.”

“Basketball season.”

“The kids have been really good; we haven’t had any trouble. They come in and they do their job then they go back to class.”

What has been your biggest frustration about this school year?

“The rain! I don’t coach anymore but I’m down there in the athletic office on Saturdays and I see all the coaches and the kids. They work all week and then they can’t play on the weekend.”

What is something you’re looking forward to this school year?

“I’m looking forward to still being here in June!”

What’s one word or phrase to describe this school year so far?

“Frustrating because of the rain. Even though I’m working in the cafeteria my mind stays on the sports.”

“I’ve been doing pretty good on some of my tests that I thought were very difficult.”

“Balancing my workload because this is the first year that it’s been so intense.”

“I’m doing this professional development to expand knowledge on LGBTQ+ students and how we can support those kids.”

“Homework, specifically in AP World.”

“Definitely waking up on time for school because during the summer I would sleep in until noon sometimes.”

“Getting my license; I get it in two weeks!”

“Different.”

What has been your biggest triumph so far this school year?

“As a school, I think that it’s real exciting that our athletic complex is getting put together, and I have great plans for that with athletic programs. Elsewhere, our fine and performing arts will put on good shows as always.”

What has been your biggest frustration about this school year so far?

“The weather on the weekends has been a little wet, so it would be nice if we had some good fall weather coming.”

What is something you’re looking forward to this school year?

“Looking forward to the new [Gonkplex] facility out back, and some of the great things that students will do in the classes and in the clubs that students are a part of.”

“Off and running.”

“I think the environment I’ve created in my classroom is a triumph for me because I’ve tried to make a safe space where everyone feels welcome.”

“There’s so much I want to do but I don’t have enough time.”

“Something I’m excited for is to see my students develop as students, not only with Spanish but as people, too.”

“Definitely helping out with the student government, making sure the sophomore class has a great year.”
