Latin teacher Shawn Staines
What was/has been the most difficult part of the pandemic for you? Why?
“I would say trying to support my students. There are so many different things people need, people are so stressed. It’s difficult to juggle all those different things.”
What is something good that has come as a result of your pandemic experiences?
“My daughter was born two weeks before the pandemic. I really just got a few months to spend time with my family. It was like an extended paternity leave.”
What word or phrase best represents the last two years for you? Why?
“Anxious. I’m never sure what’s coming next. Are things getting better or are things getting worse? Is someone in my family going to get sick?”
