Q&A with senior captain Lizzie Meschisen

What is your goal for the team this year?

“My goal for the team is for everyone to work their hardest to reach their full athletic potential while also developing a stronger sense of team unity despite the fact that the team is comprised of over 50 people. Another goal we have is to remain undefeated as we did last year.”

As a team, what do you need to do in the pre-season (and throughout the season) to achieve this goal?

“As a team we need to have 100 percent determination and commitment to working our hardest at practice and giving it our all at meets.”

Who are some of the strongest returning players and why?

“[Seniors] Alexi Wong, Taylor Moore, Angela Lin, Jill Trudo and [junior] Molly Callaghan are all leaders in their events.”

Who do you think will be your toughest competition this year and why?

“Our toughest competition is always Westborough because every single class from freshmen and sophomores to juniors and seniors has standout swimmers no matter what year it is.”
