“I would say the school spirit is also a six, but we have been getting more spirited.”
On a scale of 1-10, how much school spirit do you have this year?
“I would say I have about a seven because I have felt a lot more spirited this year than I have in the past years due to being a senior and I have attended a lot more events. I still struggle to have spirit sometimes, but it’s a lot better than it has been in previous years.”
What is your favorite school spirit day?
“My favorite school spirit day is country vs. country club. We didn’t do it this year but it’s my favorite because I love dressing in full country and opposing people in full country club outfits.”
What is your least favorite school spirit day?
“I don’t like jersey day because I don’t really own any jerseys. I own a lot of sports stuff but I don’t own any jerseys so I don’t have a lot of spirit on that day.”
If you could dream up any school spirit day what would it be?
“I like Color Wars a lot and I think if we did something that’s not just between the grades but with more competition that’s not just the juniors versus seniors at the end of the year. I want to see the freshman versus the sophomores as well.”
On a scale of 1-10 how good is Algonquin’s school spirit and why?
“I think that we have really good school spirit here; I would give it a nine. There’s a lot of people who are really spirited but there are circumstances where we don’t have much spirit, like during the day when we are tired and just want to be on our phones. I think we have a lot of spirit when we are at events, and the gold rush is a good example of that. Seniors especially had a lot of spirit on that day.”

“I would probably say a two.”
What is your favorite school spirit day?
“I like it when we have the [Algonquin pride] day. Especially recently, for the seniors, having everyone wearing our yellow shirts was really cool.”
What is your least favorite school spirit day?
“I am not really a fan of the beach because that one is kinda boring.”
If you could dream up any school spirit day what would it be?
“I think a really fun one would be a cultural day.”

“I think we are pretty good on school spirit, depending on what day. If you give us a pajama day, we are gonna eat that one up. But on other kinds of spirit days, we are not that spirited.”

“I’m thinking like an eight.”

“I really like anything but a backpack day, but no one usually does it. So that’s one. I also don’t really like country versus country club because no one does that either.”

“Adam Sandler day would be a good one because I feel like everyone has those types of clothing and would do it.”
