What was the song of the summer?

“I have a whole summer playlist, but my top songs would be ‘Back on 74’ by Jungle and ‘Hell n’ Back’ by Bakar.”

What was the movie of the summer?

“I did see ‘Deadpool & Wolverine,’ so I would say that it would be the movie of the summer.”

What are you most looking forward to this year?

“I am looking forward to all the clubs and sports.” 

What is your favorite Olympic event to watch?

“I am biased, but I would say swim and track and field.” 

What’s the coolest thing you did over the summer?

“I went to an engagement party for my family friend, and that was pretty cool.”

“Making new friends.”

“Sabre (fencing).”

“I went to Norway, and it was really beautiful.”

“I watched ‘Despicable Me 4’ and it was okay.”

What was the coolest thing you did over the summer?

“I went to Canobie Lake Park where I rode the Untamed roller coaster, the Yankee Cannonball and a whole bunch of other rides.”

“I didn’t really watch any new movies, but I rewatched ‘Moana.’”

“I’m looking forward to procrastinating less than I did last year.”

What was your favorite Olympic event to watch?

“My favorite Olympic event was womens’ gymnastics.”

What was the coolest thing you did this summer?

“The coolest thing I did over the summer was receive a shipment of lab supplies for some out-of-school work.”

“My favorite event was watching the womens’ rugby finals, soccer finals or the Australian breakdancing.”

“The coolest thing I did this summer was go to Cape Cod with my favorite people.”

“I listen to a variety of music so it’s more about the vibe than a specific song.”

What was the movie of the summer?

“I saw ‘Twisters’ and ‘Deadpool [& Wolverine]’ and between the two I would have to say ‘Deadpool [& Wolverine].’”

What are you most looking forward to this year?

“I’m looking forward to starting the year off with an open mind and teaching a new course this year, which I’m nervous about but definitely super excited for. This is a great way to connect with a whole new group of students and get involved with everybody here. So I’m excited to make everybody feel like they belong here at Algonquin.”

What was your favorite Olympic event to watch?

“I enjoyed watching soccer, but I feel like gymnastics was really fun to watch because I’m amazed every time and could never do what they can.”

What is the coolest thing you did over the summer?

“I went to the Harley Davidson motorcycle festival in Milwaukee. It was so amazing, we got to do tours of the museum and meet some original members of the Harley Davidson family.”

She started writing for her middle school newspaper and fell in love with writing articles, so when she went to high school she knew she had to join the Harbinger. Outside of school, Altea loves to read, play tennis and spend time with friends and family (especially her dog).

Jax has been involved with the Harbinger since his freshman year as a graphic designer, but taking Journalism as a junior got him truly excited about journalism. He has discovered a passion for storytelling, advocating through his work and sharing news, recently becoming an Editor-in-Chief. In his free time, Jax enjoys playing tennis, ceramics and performing music.

Mia took journalism in her freshman year and has since become the Politics Coordinator and an Assistant Opinion Editor. One of her favorite things about working on the Harbinger is getting to help people share aspects of their lives through her writing. In her free time, Mia enjoys reading, presenting for World of Difference, participating in steering, CAP, competitive riflery and archery.
