What was your most challenging midterm?

“It was definitely math, Algebra 2, that was definitely the hardest one for me.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I am looking forward to trying to keep my grades up because right now I have all As in all my classes, and I am hoping to continue that in the new semester.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“I am looking forward to training for sports, being on the track team and hopefully getting better at soccer to play on the varsity team.”

“My most challenging midterm was probably French.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I am not taking any new electives, besides health, so I am just looking for a new start in a lot of my classes.”

“I am looking forward to the school’s carnival and a new year, since it’s January.”

“The Latin 3 Honors because it’s the highest level I have, and they were super nervous about it.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to doing with your students this semester?

“Latin 3 Honors finally gets to read some Latin, and we get out of baby Latin.”

What is one thing that you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“Nice weather, winning millions of dollars in the lottery and moving to Italy.”

“Definitely chemistry, because math isn’t my strong subject and there’s a lot of math involved in chemistry and a lot of memorization.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I’m taking art, which I’m really excited for because I love doing art and it’s very fun. Mrs. Duffy is so lovely.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“I’m going to try to join the girls’ golf team.”

What was your most challenging midterm?

“My hardest midterm was AP Biology, because of the fact that we’re fairly far along in the curriculum. We’re almost done with it, so we tested pretty much the entire AP test in the midterm which is a lot of content.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I’m looking forward to gym because I like playing basketball.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“I want to play badminton more because college applications are over, and I want to do some sport betting.”

What were you up to during midterms?

“I was here for one day last week for about half a day. Last week, I had two full days of training for specific training having to do with my detective work with the police station, so nothing really school related but having to do with the other portion of my job… I really do enjoy my job, I worked a lot on the ALICE presentation which is happening [on Jan 23]. I’m busy but I really enjoy it because I enjoy being here and I enjoy being a detective.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I feel like I’ve done a good job with my presence throughout the school, so now I’m really focusing on doing more of these informal, laid-back but important talks about [topics such as] ALICE, maybe another one for seniors which is my life advice towards the end of the semester. Right in the middle, more safety-related things. I’m also teaming up with Take Action to talk about driver safety, informing [students] about things within the school parking lot and on the road.”

“Nothing really, I have senioritis. Hopefully I stay within my current grades and maintain my average [grades].”

“Meeting new people, getting new experiences in an American high school. Exploring my opportunities as an American student.”

“I’m starting Computer Science and I’ve never done anything like that before so it might be something I’m good at, or not we’ll see.”

“I want to join a new club, so I want to see if I can do that.”

“I have more time to work on AP Precalculus with Mr. Galvin.”

“I’m looking forward to the weather warming up.”

“Definitely AP Human Geography, just because it was timed and it was sixty questions in sixty minutes and I felt a lot of pressure on me to complete it in the time limit.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I’m looking forward to my gardening class because I didn’t know that’s something that you can take in school, and you can learn how to grow your own garden and vegetables.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“I’m looking forward to finally completing school and entering a new point in my life. A new chapter, some might say.”

“Probably math because I had to study a lot for it.”

“I’m finishing up cheer because I did two seasons of that so it will be nice to have a break.”

“AP Biology was probably my toughest but I was able to get a 90% as I studied really hard ”

“I only have one period of AP Biology and one period of gym instead of two periods of AP Biology”

“Working hard in the gym, continuing to get better in soccer and making new friends.”

“AP Spanish since I wasn’t speaking Spanish while I was in Taiwan for a month, so it was hard for me to prepare for the midterm.”

“I look forward to gym because it’s physical.”

“Attending DECA States in March.”

“I am looking forward to the last part of the year, where the academics sort of die down a little bit.”

“Bio, mainly just because it’s bio. I have all the notes; I’ve done everything, it’s just so much information, so little time, cramming things in my brain. Things get mixed up so probably one of the hardest.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to academically this semester?

“I have gym with Ms. Fustino and I’ve heard a lot of good things about her. I already had her class, I think it’s going to be really fun. She said she makes it competitive and energetic and that describes me.”

What is one thing you are looking forward to non-academically this semester?

“I do theater…In the spring I want to [perform in] the second play but I also want to do softball for Algonquin.”
