What do you think your top artists/songs say about you?

Who was your top artist this year and what percent of their top listeners were you in?

“My top artist this year was Taylor Swift. I am a true Swiftie, and I believe I was in the top 1% of listeners for Taylor. I was doing a lot of new album listening for the leadup of the Eras Tour, so I was definitely vibing to Taylor Swift quite heavily.”

How many minutes did you spend listening to Spotify this year?

“I listened to Spotify quite a bit, because when we are writing in class, I usually have quiet music in the background. My total amount of listening time was 52,937 minutes, but that’s also probably skewed because that’s what I’m playing in class.”

How do you feel about your Spotify Wrapped? Did you like it and did you think it was accurate?

“Yeah, it was pretty accurate. In order, it was Taylor Swift first, The 1975 second, which is a band that I really love, Noah Kahan third, which is an artist that I have listened to a lot this last year. Explosions in the Sky was fourth, which is an experimental band from Texas that I love. The only thing that was surprising was five, which was Drake. I didn’t realize that I listen to that much Drake but I guess that’s what my Spotify Wrapped tells me I was listening to.”

What do you think your top artists/songs say about you?

“I didn’t know I was a Swiftie for a long time. I think when she started coming out with the Eras Tour leadup, over the pandemic when she was releasing Evermore and stuff like that, I think I really got invested in her mythology. I think that it says I am fun and open-minded. I know some people really don’t like Taylor Swift, and I don’t really get that; I think Taylor Swift is quite fun.”
