Caroline Alcock, soccer

Committed to: Brandeis

How does it feel to be committed?

“Honestly, when I committed, it was like a sigh of relief because I knew I’ve always wanted to go to Brandeis, and I was like okay my decision is made. I don’t need to do any more college essays or anything, and it was just the best feeling that I could possibly have over the summer.”

What made you choose this school?

“I chose Brandeis because of its really competitive league for soccer. I get to travel a lot too, and the UAA [University Athletic Association] is a fantastic league. I’m just super excited for that and for academics so I can be challenged with my academics for next year.”

What does it mean to you to play a sport in college?

“It’s one of the dreams I have had since I was younger. I’ve always looked up to the girls that have played college soccer, and I just knew that’s what I wanted to do. I love the sport and I am super excited to play at such a competitive level with some of the best girls that are possibly in the league. I think it’s a good challenge for me, and it will be a good test for me for next year.
