Q&A with senior captain Simone Fiore

What is your goal for the team this year?

“I think a big goal is making the playoffs because we didn’t make it last year and we want to try to get really far.”

As a team, what do you need to do in the pre-season (and throughout the season) to achieve this goal?

“I think a big thing is being really focused and bringing energy to practices and games. We need to execute on both offense and defense with help from the coaches.”

Who are some of the strongest returning players and why?

“Sophomore Danielle Adams is going to play a big role because she is strong on offense and defense and working in the offseason. Senior captain Alexa Sullivan is extremely good on defense and causes turnovers for the other team which will help a lot.”

Who do you think will be your toughest competition this year and why? 

“Shrewsbury because they didn’t lose many players last year and they were really good last year and they have good seniors. It’s always a tough match when we play them.”
