How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
My personal favorite, “How To Lose a Guy in 10 Days” is one of those movies that you can watch over and over again and it never gets old.
Released in 2003, the film follows Andi Anderson (Kate Hudson) who is a writer for a fashion lifestyle magazine. She is tasked with writing an article that attempts to crack the code on all the things girls do wrong in a relationship by being assigned to drive a guy away in 10 days time. The man she meets to base the article on is Benjamin Barry (Matthew McConaughey), a sports advertiser who is simultaneously tasked with having to get a girl to fall in love with him in 10 days in order to reserve a promotion in the form of a diamond commercial.
With both of them trying to accomplish the opposite of each other, Andi’s fake obsessive girlfriend tendencies put Ben on the edge, while Ben’s charm and attentiveness sway Andi to a point of no return. This movie is a classic; Hudson and McConaughey’s chemistry is undeniable as the movie is laced with laughs, love and a little deception.
