Best Dressed: Kacey Musgraves

This was hands down our favorite look of the night. In a Valentino Haute Couture dress, the country singer gracefully strutted down the red carpet. The nude, strapless tulle gown fluttered stunningly over the floor. A rose-colored sash around her waist finished the look, bringing a pop of color to an otherwise dull colored dress. We are not always a fan of strapless gowns because they can quickly look ill-fitting if the bodice is not cut to size, but this dress could not be more perfect for Musgraves. The fan-shaped, pleated tulle that formed the neckline was an original touch to the gown. Tulle never goes out of style and always looks elegant.

What struck us about the gown was also what it meant to Musgraves. She chose this dress because the bodice reminded her of the fan on her “Golden Hour” album cover. At first glance, we were reminded of a fan as well. We truly appreciate it when celebrities choose to dress in a way that is symbolic and meaningful rather than for the name brand; it makes the event so much more personal and shows that they care.
