CAVA is a fast casual restaurant chain offering Mediterranean cuisine and has 13 locations in Massachusetts. The closest to Algonquin is in Framingham.
Mediterranean cuisine is celebrated for its fresh ingredients, vibrant flavors and health-conscious dishes. That being said, finding a fast-casual spot that delivers the same quality as a sit-down restaurant can be a challenge. However, CAVA is different. Some call it the Mediterranean “Chipotle,” but this rapidly growing chain is setting a new standard for healthy and customizable dining by offering meals that are unique and nutritious.
Their Boston location at 125 Summer St. has a sleek, wooden and modern interior with a friendly atmosphere, which makes it an inviting spot with a chill vibe. Despite being in the heart of the city, the service is great and lines are not packed at the door, like many other fast-food places.

CAVA’s Boston location stands out for its commitment to quality and freshness. The clean, minimalist space makes it an ideal spot for a quick lunch break or casual dinner with friends. Whether you’re a regular or trying CAVA for the first time, you’ll be greeted with a menu packed with options to suit every palate.
One of my go-to orders at CAVA is the Chicken Harissa Avocado Bowl ($16.85). Packed with 710 calories, it features grilled chicken, brown rice, tzatziki, hummus, feta, pickled onions, tomato, arugula and Greek vinaigrette. The spicy harissa balances the avocado, feta and fresh greens, creating a dish that’s cohesive and satisfying. Every elevated bite is different yet interesting and perfect for refueling after a busy day in Boston.
CAVA’s menu is all about customization, allowing you to build a meal that fits your cravings and dietary needs. Choose from bases like greens, grains or pita, then add proteins like grilled chicken, spicy lamb meatballs or falafel. Finish it off with a variety of toppings, spreads and dressings. Most meals range between $15-$20, depending on your choices, making CAVA a higher end fast-food spot, and not very affordable.

However, their sides and drinks really stand out. Some of their most notable items include crispy pita chips ($2.75) and flavorful dips, such as their roasted red pepper hummus ($3.45), making each option feel distinct. Their cucumber mint limeade and blueberry lavender drinks are also unique, offering flavors you won’t find at any other fast-food restaurant.
While there are many locations in the Boston area, CAVA has expanded across Massachusetts as well, with additional spots in Framingham and Dedham. Each site provides the same fresh, flavorful menu and clean atmosphere. However, with a limited number of locations across Massachusetts, enjoying CAVA wherever you are in the state can be challenging.
If you can get to one, CAVA’s fresh and customizable dishes are the perfect Mediterranean meals.
