What do you like best about working as a special education aide?
“I really like that we help kids learn with the general population education”
What do you do over the course of a day as an aide?
“In the morning, we wait for the kids to arrive and gather their belongings. We follow a similar schedule each day.”
What are the biggest challenges you’ve faced in your job this year?
“Probably COVID. It was really difficult at first with masks, not being able to see kids’ facial expressions.”
What do you think about working at ARHS?
“I actually went to Algonquin before this. I worked at daycares before I decided to take the next step and Algonquin was the best place to start. So I really like it here”
What do you like to do in your free time?
“I like to play with my animals at home, go shopping, and hang out with my boyfriend”
What would your students be surprised to learn about you?
“I think they’re surprised that I went to Algonquin for high school as well”
