“Valentine’s Day” offers the perfect romantic comedy to accompany the flowers and chocolates.

As Valentine’s Day approaches, it is impossible to escape all the flowers, reds and pinks, chocolates, and stuffed animals of the infamous holiday. To fully embrace all of the cheesy ideals that come along with this holiday, the movie “Valentine’s Day” is perfect.

The 2010 ensemble film set in Los Angeles is known for its famous actors and actresses including Jessica Alba, Bradley Cooper, Patrick Dempsey, George Lopez, Anne Hathaway, Ashton Kutcher, and many many more.

If you are one of those people who loves different stories that intertwine throughout the movie, like in “Love Actually” and “New Year’s Eve“, then this movie is for you. Like the others, it can also be found On Demand.

Following many separate relationships on Valentine’s Day, the movie bounces around between couples and follows their eventful days jam-packed with love, friendship, and heartbreak. This movie covers a span of character ages, so it is a great flick for different generations. There’s a young elementary-school boy trying to buy flowers for his crush, there are teenagers trying to understand love, and an old couple dealing with cheating and affairs. The movie has it all.

With well known celebrities appearing in almost every new scene, it is exciting to watch, although it may be a little hard to keep up with who everyone is dating. You may find yourself questioning who people are, but hopefully someone watching it with you could help you out. Taylor Swift and Taylor Lautner even make appearances as high schoolers madly in love, but with terrible acting that’s so embarrassing it’s comical.

However, the ending ties all of the missing pieces together and wraps everything up well, leaving you with that good, warm, fuzzy feeling.

The script contains humor, rightfully labeled PG-13 so adults will definitely appreciate this one more than younger kids. Whether you’re single or taken, I highly recommend spending time to watch Valentine’s Day this holiday season.
